UK charities Missing People and Lowland Rescue have, in partnership, been awarded £1 million by People’s Postcode Lottery over 2 years to launch Search Dog Heroes.
The ground-breaking project will train 100 new trailing search dogs and equip those caring for the most vulnerable people in society such as those living with dementia, with the knowledge and tools to act fast if their loved one went missing.
Online resources, safety guidance, preventative material and scent kits will soon be available for anyone who is or cares for someone at risk of going missing.
Thanks to players of People’s Postcode Lottery, two UK charities Missing People and Lowland Rescue, in partnership, have been awarded £1million by Dream Fund to develop the Search Dog Heroes project.
